Specialty Areas

Children & Adolescents

My therapeutic interactions with children and adolescents revolve around sensibility and non-judgment. I aim to meet children and adolescents where they are, allow them to feel heard and understood, and use therapeutic skills to help empower them to make healthy decisions.

This process may sound serious, and it can be at times. However, I like to include art and play into sessions in order to help the environment feel comfortable. Additionally, I am a certified children's yoga teacher through Yoga To Grow, and in the appropriate circumstance, I enjoy integrating yoga into the therapy process in order to increase mindfulness and lower impulsivity.

Emotionally Healthy Children = Emotionally Healthy Adults

I believe that happier and healthier children equal happier and healthier adults. Thus, addressing the emotional needs of children and adolescents early on is crucial. Science has shown that our brain continues to develop well into our mid-twenties. Since a person's brain is so malleable during childhood, the powerful opportunity exists to set the emotionally healthy groundwork that will benefit a child throughout his or her life.
